GHANAIAN COMMUNITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, DFW

The Ghanaian Community Presbyterian Church is a Community focused church with Christ at the center of everything we do. The church is made up of predominantly Ghanaians in the diaspora with Presbyterian roots seeking a worship experience that reflects their Presbyterian origins with a missionary emphasis. The community is our mission field to reach out and empower as well as educate the entire community leaving no one behind. The church has a wide range of age representation, with about thirty percent of children and youth with a huge potential for growth.

The church started as a house church with about two dozen people in 2015 and has steadily grown to an average of 85 to 100 people. Our objective is to grow into a large multicultural and multinational Presbyterian congregation to include worshippers from all walks of life. Our unique blend of sacred and contemporary praise and worship with dancing sets us apart and creates an atmosphere of joy in the presence of the Lord.

Word for today

Psalms 27:1-5

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
    of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked advance against me
    to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
    who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
    my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
    even then I will be confident.

One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
    all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
    and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
    he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
    and set me high upon a rock.
